Cummins and Tata Motors collaborate to produce emissions-free technology products in India
Driving towards a greener future! Cummins and Tata Motors team up to develop low-to-zero emissions technology products in India, paving the way for sustainable mobility solutions.
A range of low- to zero-emissions technology products will be produced in India over the next few years thanks to a definitive agreement signed by Tata Motors Limited (TML) and the world's largest power company, Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI). At the Cummins headquarters in Columbus, Indiana (U.S.), the definitive agreement was signed by Girish Wagh, Executive Director of Tata Motors, and Jennifer Rumsey, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Cummins. The agreement was signed in the presence of senior representatives and dignitaries from Cummins, the company's leadership team for India, and Tata Motors.

Through their 1993-founded joint experience Tata Cummins Private Limited (TCPL) in India, Tata Motors and Cummins have a 30-year-strong collaboration. The two organizations' relationship is maintained by the signing of this binding agreement, which builds on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) they signed in November 2022 to work together on the design and growth of low- and zero-emission propulsion technology explanations for commercial vehicles in India.
In agreement with this contract, Cummins and TML have founded a new company called TCPL Green Energy Solutions Private Limited (GES), a fully possessed subsidiary under the current joint incident, with a direction on the development and exhibition of sustainable technology consequences. These products will contain hydrogen-powered internal detonation engines, fuel delivery systems, battery electric powertrains, and fuel cell electric methods under the name AcceleraTM by Cummins. For both domestic and foreign markets, the low- to zero-emissions technologies created by TCPL GES will be incorporated into on- and off-road applications. This agreement will be essential in the development of environmentally friendly powertrain alternatives that will aid in declining greenhouse gas emissions, enhancing air quality, and advancing India's net-zero goals.
