Three to four brand-new products could be introduced and released in the next three to four months in the Indian midsize SUV market. Here, we've got coverage for each one of them:
Citroen C3 Aircross:
On April 27, Citroen will host the world premiere of a brand-new midsize SUV that will be based on the C3 compact hatchback. The SUV, which will be known as the C3 Aircross, has only recently debuted its first teaser. It will be built on the same CMP platform as the C3. Even more intriguingly, the platform has electrification capabilities.
Although the Citroen C3 Aircross will reportedly be offered in both five- and seven-seater configurations, the likelihood that only the five-seater version will be made available at launch is high. It will have a 1.2L turbocharged gasoline engine and manual or automatic gearbox choices. Inside and out, it will be more modern than the standard C3, and the feature list will be more comprehensive.
Kia Seltos Facelift:
By the middle of this year, a facelifted version of the Kia Seltos with numerous exterior and interior changes is anticipated to be available. The upcoming Kia Seltos will have an entirely new grille, headlamps, bumper section, and alloy wheels on the front fascia.New features will be added to the interior, and the rear will have updated tail lamps and a new bumper, among other visual changes. The 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine, capable of up to 160 PS of maximum power and 253 Nm of peak torque, will be unveiled by the South Korean automaker. The Verna and Alcazar already house the same unit.
Honda Midsize SUV:
Following the implementation of BSVI stage 2 emission norms this month, Honda Cars India currently only offers the Amaze and City sedans for sale on the domestic market. A new midsize SUV will be introduced by the Japanese manufacturer to compete with models like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, etc.
It will use a 1.5L NA petrol engine with 121 PS and sit on the same platform as the fifth-generation City. The 1.5L powerful hybrid petrol engine is anticipated to be added later.
