Discover the Hyundai Exter SUV: Engine, Trims, Colors, and Launch Date in India

Bookings are now being accepted for the upcoming Hyundai Exter SUV for a nominal fee of Rs 11,000 as of today. There will be five trim levels, two engine options, and two gearbox options for the Exter.

1. Hyundai Exter offers options for a petrol and CNG engine.
2. Offering six monochromatic and three dual-tone colours.
3. Rivals to Citroen C3 and Tata Punch in India.

A 1.2-litre petrol engine and a CNG fuel option are available for the Exter. While the Exter CNG will only be available as a manual, the Exter petrol can be ordered with either a five-speed manual or an AMT automatic. Although the 1.2-litre engine's power and torque ratings have not yet been made public, we anticipate it to produce 83 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque, about the same as the Grand i10 Nios, the Aura, and the Venue. Similar to its sedan, SUV, and hatchback counterparts, the CNG powertrain could generate 69 horsepower and 95.2 pound-feet of torque.

There will be five trim levels for the Exter: EX, S, SX, SX (O), and the highest-spec SX(O) Connect. Only the EX trim is available with a petrol-manual gearbox; it doesn't have an AMT option.

Contrary to the petrol Exter, the CNG version will only be offered in the S MT and SX MT trim levels. 

Colour options for the Hyundai Exter
Six monotone exterior paint colours will be available for the Hyundai Exter: Atlas White, Cosmic Blue, Fiery Red, Starry Night, Titan Grey, and a Ranger Khaki that is exclusive to Hyundai. Three dual-tone colours based on Atlas White, Cosmic Blue, and Ranger Khaki are also available for the Exter. The petrol Exter has these options, but the CNG version does not offer dual-tone colours.

The launch date for the Hyundai Exter in India
This year, prices for the Exter SUV should be revealed by late July or early August. It will sit below the Venue and compete with the Tata Punch and Citroen C3 as Hyundai's most affordable SUV in India.
