Incident on Jaipur Highway: Mahindra XUV700 SUV Engulfed in Flames

Since its debut, Mahindra's XUV 700 flagship SUV has garnered a lot of media attention. From being one of the brand's most feature-rich SUVs to being one of the most in-demand products, which was helped further by lengthy waiting times. However, the SUV has recently attracted attention once more, and this time it's for a very different reason.

With his family in tow, owner Kuldeep Singh was driving his XUV 700 along the Jaipur highway when it suddenly caught fire. This incident resulted in no injuries, and the family was unharmed. Everyone's focus, however, is on how the SUV caught fire without any prior warning.

"While Driving On The Jaipur Highway, The Car Catches Fire. The car did not overheat; rather, smoke entered the moving vehicle before it caught fire, according to the Tweet.

According to the owner, there were no modifications made to the XUV 700.  But when speaking about the incident, Mahindra said that after reaching out to the customers and conducting an investigation, "our initial finding suggests that the factory-fitted/original wiring has been tampered with, to accommodate after-market electrical accessories, which could have led to the incident."

An engine may catch fire for a number of reasons, including fuel leaks, electrical issues, oil leaks, or contact between two hot engine components and combustible materials. In addition, if something similar occurs to you, call the nearest police station and immediately contact your insurance provider.
